Blue Lidded Porcelain Jar

This lidded porcelain vessel makes a wonderful container for jewelry or other keepsakes. The lid is tight fitting, but easy to open and close.  The lid has a raised button of clay on the tops as decoration.  Lidded jars are difficult to make and have them turn out well. It's like making two bowls that have to fit together in any direction.

It has a glaze called Jack's Blue that is a beautiful periwinkle color and has a smooth matte texture.

This piece is food, oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe, though we always recommend washing your pieces by hand.  The matt glaze can sometimes discolor over time when in contact with food.

This vessel is hand thrown from porcelain clay.  It is a one of a kind, no two are alike.
