Wood fired brown bowl with pecan leaf motif

This ceramic bowl was decorated with an iron saturate glaze and pecan leaf motif in green.  This a shiny bowl was wood fired.  Wood firing leads to a subtle beauty where the wood ash kisses the glaze. Small variations occur in the texture and color of the glaze. This bowl is food, oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe, though we always recommend washing your pieces by hand.

This bowl is hand thrown from stoneware clay.  It is a one of a kind, as no two are alike.
